Alliance for Massage Therapy Education
First Annual Conference Park City, Utah June 3-5, 2010
This three-day conference will bring together directors and administrators from massage therapy schools, along with massage school teachers and those who provide continuing education seminars and advanced trainings to the field. There will be general interest sessions for all participants, as well as specialized workshop topics for each of the three groups that make up the Alliance. Cherie is presenting Ethical Issues in the Education Business. Some of the leading companies that offer essential products and services to the education community will be exhibiting at this meeting.
Join the Alliance for Massage Therapy Education!
The mission of this independent non-profit organization is to be the voice, advocate and resource for the community of massage therapy schools, teachers and continuing education providers. The Alliance will provide a comprehensive range of services to this community, and will represent their interests in all domains. This advocacy will come into play in dealing with state and federal regulatory issues, accreditation, standard-setting projects such as the Body of Knowledge and teacher education requirements, as well as ongoing efforts to get massage therapy better recognized and integrated into the health care delivery system.
