Last week I attended a virtual planning meeting for the upcoming Global Massage Makes Me Happy Day on March 20th. It was a gathering of School Administrators, Owners, and Instructors that the Massage Makes Me Happy committee is calling their “School Ambassadors.” This enthusiastic group is planning events at each of their schools, both virtual and in-person, to celebrate the day.

Click here to download a flyer of more than 50 ways to celebrate, whether you are an independent practitioner, a spa or clinic, a school, a CE provider, an association, or just someone who loves massage!

Such massage profession all-stars as Lynda Solien-Wolfe, Tiffany Field, and Cherie Sohnen-Moe were also present at the planning meeting, among many other initiative members and cornerstone partners. Dr. Field will share research that supports why massage makes you happy and healthy at the scheduled online event on March 20th.

If you are interested in being a School Ambassador yourself, contact Cherie here. School Ambassadors receive a Celebration Toolkit that includes promotional materials such as stickers, pins, wristbands, a poster, and more! There are also prize drawings planned for those who participate in the Massage Makes Me Happy & Healthy contest.

Visit the Massage Makes Me Happy website for more information and watch their Facebook page for more updates.

Let’s remind ourselves and our communities just how important touch is, especially now, by promoting OUR Day!

Why does massage make you happy and healthy?
