Mental Health Support

Under normal conditions, we wait to discuss referrals and mental health resources with students and staff until they are requested or when an incident occurs. Unfortunately, we are no longer under normal conditions. Now is the time to preemptively address all levels of support with students, staff, and faculty because stress and anxiety are at all time highs. If your school maintains a small staff and does not have the means to employ a paid counselor, generate a relationship with a local mental health organization to help with questions and referrals. They may even be able to provide staff and faculty training on stress reduction. Of course, our wellness and somatic therapies are designed for stress reduction, however, delivering training and education adds a different layer of stress to the current mix. Foster success for yourselves and your students by modeling collaboration and referral. Access more information in the Resources section below.
